Rooms and availability
The room was beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, both the included breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant were fantastic. We could have paid double and been very happy!
It is set in a very peaceful and scenic golf course and the manor house itself is small with a lot of character. It''s very close to the pembrokeshire coast line and the centre of Tenby which is great. The couple that run Trefloyne are very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff that we came across. We liked the fact that you once you're there for the evening you have all that you need - a relaxed bar and a lovely restaurant. Our room, 'The Bedroom' was perfect - it had wooden beams, a small balcony and a spacious bathroom with a separate bath/shower. Overall it a bit more hotely than a b&b but it had all the homeliness to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Just the job!
We found the entrance a bit weird as there doesn't seem to be a 'Reception' area. You walk into the hall which leads straight through to the kitchen I think and we weren't really sure where to go. All became clear very quickly though so no big deal. The other small thing was that our bedroom was above the kitchen and when we opened the balcony door (which we had to cos it was a warm night), we could smell lots of kitcheny smells and hear some sort of noisy generator or something. Also there was a loud, continuous noise of some description fairly early in the morning - not sure what that was but it broke the peace a bit. The good stuff far outweighed the bad though - we would definitely recommend it.
We were upgraded to a lodge which was spacious and beautifully equipped and furnished. Best of all, it was very quiet. We ate in the restaurant both nights - the food was very good. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of variety and served in a relaxed manner. Overall we had a very enjoyable break.
Friendly and obliging staff, nice spacious room and en suite, with marvellous views over lovely countryside. Generous breakfast provision and portions, pleasant breakfast and dining rooms, good dinner menus though could do better for vegetarians. Beautiful surroundings with ample walking opportunities, a good range of flora and fauna, and a very impressive and well maintained eighteen hole golf course.
We enjoyed our stay but guests should remember that this is a very golf orientated community and the bar and restaurant are very busy at the weekends - less so during the week. Despite the busy-ness of the (mainly young) staff over the weekends, they were always courteous and helpful to us and nothing was too much trouble. We are both non-golfers but this made no difference to the welcome given to us.
Excellent location and hospitality meant we enjoyed a lovely weekend break, highly recommended.
Initially we chose to stay here because of the location - close enough to civilisation but secluded enough to not be harassed by traffic etc. On arriving we were extrememly impressed with the quality and feel of both the Manor and the location, and also the friendliness of all the staff, not just the owners. The food was amazing, for quality, value for money and choice. It was definately a case of nothing being too much trouble, and everyone went out of their way to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We will definately be returning!
The only thing we regretted was that we weren't staying longer!
Excellent breakfast and dinner
Noisy disco which we weren't warned about
The Peace and tranquility; amazing food, great hospitality and nice decor! The perfect romantic weekend break within easy reach of Tenby.
Tom and Sarah were very welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive and accomodating. The room was comfortable and very clean, with fresh milk, avalilable on request for tea and coffee. On site resturant served good food and wine.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful location and facilities. The room was lovely, well appointed and very clean. The food in the restaurant was fantastic.
Managed to stay on a night where there was a private function booked which was incredibly noisy - band and a disco playing. There was no warning from the staff and no indication of when it would finish. It was a terrible finish to an otherwise nice stay.
You couldn't have a more peaceful and beautiful surrounding. The staff were very friendly and helpful Beds were extremely comfortable
Just irritating little things, such as shelf and toilet roll holder in bathroom was not fixed securely I did expect for that rating there could have been tissues provided and another chair to sit on. But all in all we enjoyed our stay.
The location, quietness, ease of visiting other places in the area, design of the house and comfort in the bedroom. Lovely thick fluffy towels. The meal in the restaurant (visited for three days, ate one evening in the restaurant only) was excellent, good food competitively priced and attentive waiter.
This is not a complaint but we felt for the price paid (£100-00 double room including breakfast, per day ) there should have been more accessories in the room i.e. tissues, mugs in bathroom for holding toothpaste brushes etc. hand cream.
The beautifully decorated room and relaxed, friendly environment. Not to mention the delicious food. Thankyou!
The design of the bedroom was lovely, with wonderful views. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxed and the staff very friendly.
